What are Dental Crowns?
Crowns are needed when a tooth is in need of support, misshaped, discolored or to cover an implant.
It can be part of a bridge and protect a tooth from breaking or attached to a tooth that is already broken.
Crowns are a dental treatment that looks natural and are fabricated from a combination of metals and/or tooth colored porcelains. The metal or alloy of the crowns normally contain precious metals such as gold and palladium. If your preference is to use another form of alloy, the alloy can contain non-precious metals such as nickel and chromium. Crowns with tooth colored porcelain may have a metal or alloy lining with an outer layer of the porcelain. All ceramic crowns are the most natural looking crowns and are bonded in place. Dental Crowns are extremely durable and can last for many years.
CEREC Crowns make your dental visit faster and easier!

Cerec is a computer-aided, state-of the-art systemfor for creating premium dental crowns in the comfort of Dr. Finocchiaro’s office. Cerec crowns are referred to as “one day crowns,” which makes this technology so unique and sought after.
If you want to reduce the time you spend at the dentist, you should seriously consider Cerec crowns.
Why choose Cerec Crowns?
The big advantage of receiving Cerec crowns is the high precision and accuracy. A Cerec crown is fabricated with the help of computer-aided design technology. This removes the need for guess-work and errors when sizing your crown, and you end up with a perfectly fitted crown.
Carefree Smile is one of the few Scottsdale dental offices with the computer system. Dr Finochiaro scans the image of the tooth structure where your crown needs to be placed. The computer generated image contains precise data about the dimensions of your existing tooth structure. The data is processed by the computer, and the proprietary Cerec software then creates an image of a crown that would ideally fit over the tooth structure and you end up with a perfectly sized and perfectly shaped tooth.
Cerec crowns are fabricated from a single porcelain blank. A Cerec milling machine creates a perfect crown. Dr Finochiaro then cements the crown firmly into place firmly. You walk away with a permanent crown created and fitted specifically for you in a single sitting. The Cerec crown procedure is normally completed within an hour and a half.

What are Dental Bridges?
Bridges replace lost or missing teeth and function like natural teeth.
Bridges are normally placed when there is only a one to two missing teeth surrounded by healthy teeth. The teeth on either side of the missing teeth will receive crowns and the space in between will also receive a crown. The middle crown or crowns then are bridged or fused together with the remaining
healthy teeth.
The bridge is designed to fit the formation of your teeth and dyed to match the color of the surrounding teeth.
